Abington Art Center is a community center focused on music, drawing, painting, oil, ceramics, metals, sewing, embroidery, pottery, and jewelry classes. It is an outdoor free concert venue, with theater, dance, jazz, and live music on stage. You can buy gifts, crafts, bracelets, necklaces, and rings at the unique holiday fair.

Age Restrictions

Students must be within the defined age group to attend classes. Ages 16 and older may register for an ADULT CLASS.

Little Bit of Everything – CLASS FULL
Thursdays 4:30pm – 6:00pm

All children are natural artists, and the right atmosphere can support their creativity. This class will help your child to explore various materials and art-making techniques, inspiring them with new ideas.

The perfect class for your budding artist! Offering the chance to explore different materials such as tempera paint, pastels and watercolor, your child will get to explore art and build skills. Celebrate your child’s innate creativity in this fun class!

Clayworks | Riley Strong – CLASS FULL

This is a great class for kids who love to get their hands dirty and work in three dimensions. Learn hand-building techniques to create pinch pots, animals, as well as other sculpture and then add color with glazes for a finished piece.

Throwing pottery on the wheel is fun, challenging, and a bit messy! In this class, your kids will learn to turn mounds of whirling clay into unique artworks that can be either decorative or practical. This class offers detailed instruction with plenty of independent wheel time.
