Cultivating the power of the arts –inspiring individuals and strengthening community.

Located on a historic 27-acre campus in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania, just 10 miles from Center City Philadelphia, Abington Art Center presents exhibitions, programs and events designed to make the arts a part of your world. We believe art should be engaging, approachable and, above all else, fun. At AAC, you won’t just observe art. You’ll touch it, feel it, create it and be a part of it.

Explore making art yourself in one of our many workshops and classes, visit our galleries and sculpture park, or bring your family for one of our many events such as the Summer Concert Series or Coffee Break Conversations with exhibiting artists. You choose.

Appeal Letter

November 9, 2021
Hello Friends,

Although the pandemic is persistent and we continue to be vigilant in our response, Abington Art Center has come back from the worst of times in a big way.

In the past several months we’ve reinstated in-person classes, overseen one of the most successful summer camp seasons ever, and experienced huge successes with our Spring and Holiday Craft Fairs and Summer Concert Series. With demand for open-air venues skyrocketing during the pandemic, we discovered new possibilities for our expansive grounds. We have hosted well over 10,000 people since January 1, at events ranging from dance recitals, outdoor movies and theater performances, to weddings, celebrations of life, proms and Mitzvahs. Our pavilion and outdoor stage have never been so busy!

Being able to provide space for our community’s important milestone dates and celebrations has not only brought joy and vibrancy to AAC’s campus, but also helped fulfill our mission of serving you, our community, through the arts.

As we come to the close of 2021, we at Abington Art Center are grateful for the learning opportunities the year has afforded, and for the prospects we envision for our future. We have undertaken a dynamic strategic planning process, which led us to imagine next steps for a number of exciting new initiatives. Of course, we will keep you informed as they come to fruition! Coming soon is our winter session, introducing classes in new mediums and techniques. Check them out here.

As we look forward, we are reminded that Abington Art Center’s plans are only as sound as our ability to financially support them. Please consider giving generously to AAC this year, keeping in mind that donors to nonprofits like the Center will receive higher tax deductions for charitable gifts in 2021 due to CARES Act legislation.

Thank you so much for your devotion to the arts and your commitment to the Abington Art Center!

Sincerely,

Rosalie Guzofsky, Ph.D.
