Abington Art Center is a community center focused on music, drawing, painting, oil, ceramics, metals, sewing, embroidery, pottery, and jewelry classes. It is an outdoor free concert venue, with theater, dance, jazz, and live music on stage. You can buy gifts, crafts, bracelets, necklaces, and rings at the unique holiday fair.

This exhibition celebrates art in all its forms, showcasing submissions that have been hand-picked by our juror from the community. We welcome any medium for display in our galleries this summer.

JUROR: Celia Reisman

Reisman received a BFA from Carnegie Mellon University and an MFA in Printmaking from Yale University. She is represented by Gross McCleaf Gallery in Philadelphia, Paul Thiebaud Gallery in San Francisco and Big Town Gallery in Rochester, Vermont. She received a Hassam, Speicher, Betts and Symons Fund Purchase Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters Invitational Exhibition and had a Fifteen year survey mounted at the Michener Museum in 2001. Over her career, she has exhibited in galleries and group exhibitions throughout the United States. Her teaching experience includes positions at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Swarthmore College, Dartmouth College and other academic institutions.

Main Galleries Exhibition | Juror: Meg Wolensky

This exhibition celebrates art in all its forms, showcasing submissions that have been hand-picked by our juror from the community.  We welcome submissions in any medium for display in our galleries this year.

About the Juror

Originally from West Chester, Pennsylvania, Meg Wolensky (she/they) resides in Philadelphia and serves as the Director of Continuing Education at Moore College of Art & Design. Meg is passionate about designing accessible arts experiences and work-readiness opportunities for marginalized professional artists and youth in need. Outside of creating and working, she lends professional curatorial, grant-writing, art handling, and arts nonprofit administration strategy services to other queer artists, students, organizations and initiatives. Meg has also worked as an art educator for creative students experiencing incarceration and re-entry. She continues to advocate for arts access for those impacted by the criminal justice system.
