Abington Art Center is a community center focused on music, drawing, painting, oil, ceramics, metals, sewing, embroidery, pottery, and jewelry classes. It is an outdoor free concert venue, with theater, dance, jazz, and live music on stage. You can buy gifts, crafts, bracelets, necklaces, and rings at the unique holiday fair.


Abington Art Center is proud to host this special online presentation in conjunction with the American Color Print Society: Members Spring Exhibition.

This lecture is about Alverthorpe Gallery during the time it was the home of the Lessing J. Rosenwald Collection of Prints, Rare Books and Drawings. Rosati will review memories and anecdotes from the way it was when he worked at Alverthorpe Manor as a curatorial assistant, the last 9 years before it was relocated in Washington DC. Rosati’s lecture will also discuss the staff of Alverthorpe Gallery and Lessing Rosenwald.

Tony Rosati is Chairperson of the Printmaking Department at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and the former Curatorial Assistant at Alverthorpe Gallery, the Lessing J Rosenwald Collection of prints rare books and drawings. He also teaches drawing and printmaking at Abington Art Center.

This lecture is priced at $10 for Abington Art Center members or American Color Print Society members. Non-Members are priced at $15. If you are uncertain of your membership status, please email joshell@abingtonartcenter.org

RECORDING ONLINE EVENTS

All virtual events are recorded for Abington Art Center’s use to better optimize our programming. Class recordings may also be uploaded publicly by Abington Art Center to Youtube or other video platforms and shared on social media and our website. You may mute your microphone, turn off your camera and communicate in the chat during the presentation if you do not wish to be recorded.

DROPPING OUT OF MEETINGS

Occasionally while using Zoom for events and classes, meeting participants will get dropped from the meeting. If this should happen, please do not be alarmed. Simply locate your meeting link, wait two minutes and click the meeting link to rejoin. A host will readmit you shortly.

RESENDING ZOOM LINKS

Abington Art Center would like to accommodate every guest as much as possible, however we cannot guarantee the ability to resend your Zoom link the day of the Presentation. Please do not lose your Zoom link as our staff will be preparing for the meeting the morning of the Presentation and will not be monitoring their email.

We highly suggest you add this event to your calendar immediately using the links in your Zoom confirmation email or keep the Zoom link somewhere safe such as in a note taking app.

If you happen to misplace your meeting link please email joshell@abingtonartcenter.org right away with your first and last name. Please do not wait until the day of the Presentation to ask for a link resend.

SHARING ZOOM LINKS

Please do not share your Zoom link with anyone. Each reserved guest will receive a unique link to them and as such we will only be admitting one guest per registered name. Sharing your Zoom link with may result in you missing the Presentation.

DEVICE SHARING

Sharing devices to watch the Presentation is allowed for reserved guests only. If you plan on device sharing, please purchase tickets for all participants involved. We will be asking all device sharers to identify themselves to check reservations. Although there is no way to enforce this policy with absolute certainty, we trust our community will be honest as we rely on your funding to continue our online programming.
