Abington Art Center is a community center focused on music, drawing, painting, oil, ceramics, metals, sewing, embroidery, pottery, and jewelry classes. Film and video projections engage contradictions between contrasting states of being — physical and virtual, interior and exterior. Ranging from a voyeuristic look into the body’s interior, through the layering of a street scene in Damascus onto a Philadelphia market, to the optics of how we glimpse a single film frame, these projects raise questions about the current state of our being.
