Solo Series Review

Abington Art Center is now taking submissions for our 2026-2027 Solo Series!

Our Solo Series offers artists the opportunity to show a body of work in an individual gallery. Over the course of the years, 9-12 artists will present an exhibition of their own design in one of Alverthorpe Manor’s historic rooms.

Artists will be selected for a solo exhibition in either our Fall, Winter, or Spring exhibition season. Each year, AAC’s exhibition program features national and regional artists in our gallery spaces, as well as related programs such as lectures, public forums, and workshops designed to involve audiences in the experience.

Those interested can apply through the link below. Artists who are interested in submitting work MUST be 18 years of age or older.

Relevant Dates and Info:

  • Application Deadline: May 31st
  • Notification of Submission Status: June 26th
  • Fall 2026 Exhibition Schedule: November 2026 – January 2027
  • Winter 2027 Exhibition Schedule: January – March 2027
  • Spring 2027 Exhibition Schedule: April – June 2027

Our Solo Series open call comes with a $40 application fee for non-members, and a reduced $10 fee for Abington Art Center members. This non-refundable fee covers the cost of the exhibition, which includes materials, labor, advertisement, and reception costs.

2026 Annual Juried Show: Black & White

Our Annual Juried Show open call has come to a close. All artists will be notified via email of their submission status on Friday, February 13th. If you do not see your notification in your inbox, please check your spam folder.

Important Dates:

  • Submission Deadline: February 8th, 2026
  • Notification of accepted/rejected work: February 13th, 2026
  • In person art work drop off date: March 2nd, 2026, 9am-6:30pm
  • All shipped work must arrive by February 24th, 2026*
  • Exhibition Duration: March 6th – April 13th, 2026
  • Opening Reception: March 6th, 6-8pm
  • Submission Fee: $25 Non-Members/ Waived for AAC Members

*All shipping costs are covered by the artist. Mailed work must include a return shipping label.
