Shannon Rose Moriarty is a teaching artist who creates installations out of clay and found materials that reveal a relationship between form and surface to connect personal memories to community, material, and space. She believes in the creative power of authenticity and in her classes she successfully motivates others to grow by encouraging self expression and curiosity through playful experimentation, creative problem solving, and artistic decision making.
Shannon is also a founding member of the artist-run gallery space, Spillway Collective, where she joyfully curates inclusive and collaborative exhibitions.
She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in ceramics, a minor in art education and, a Pennsylvania PK-12 art teaching certification from Arcadia University in 2015.
