April 25 | Hors d’oeuvres or Outside of Work with Owen Lee
Hors d’oeuvres is the French phrase for what we have come to know as little bites of food before a main meal. Join Owen Lee, chef/owner of the highly acclaimed Park Plates restaurant in Elkins Park, as we explore the history and preparation of these “outside of work” delicacies. We will learn techniques from simple to complex, such as perfecting the refinement of marinated olives, smoking fish and preparing the perfect savory pastries. Students will be provided with recipes and a resource guide to ingredients.
Materials fee $15, paid to instructor.
