Abington Art Center is a community center focused on music, drawing, painting, oil, ceramics, metals, sewing, embroidery, pottery, and jewelry classes. It is an outdoor free concert venue, with theater, dance, jazz, and live music on stage. You can buy gifts, crafts, bracelets, necklaces, and rings at the unique holiday fair.

AAC MEMBER DISCOUNT

Registration Deadlines

Registration closes when a class fills or the day before the class begins.

Age Restrictions

Students must be within the defined age group to attend classes. Ages 16 and older may register for an  ADULT CLASS.

Clayworks |  Riley Strong
Thursdays 4:30pm – 6:00pm
January 13, 20, 27, February 3, 10, 17, 24, March 3, 10, 17

This is a great class for kids who love to get their hands dirty and work in three dimensions. Learn hand-building techniques to create pinch pots, animals, as well as other sculpture and then add color with glazes for a finished piece.

Draw and Paint | Maya Williams
Saturdays 11:30am – 1:00pm

Learn how to use color, shape, and design in exciting and new ways using a variety of art materials from paint to mixed media. Tap into your inner artist by creating artworks that display your skill and imagination.

 


Cartooning and Comic Books | Seth McKeever
Wednesdays 4:30pm – 6:00pm
January 12, 19, 26, February 2, 9, 16, 23, March 2, 9, 23

Focus your imagination to create your own characters and make your own cartoons in this fun and exciting class. Original drawings will bring your stories to life on the page. This class will lead you, step-by-step, to design your own comic books.

Log in with your email, choose a session, Add to Order, and select the person you wish to register before checking out or adding additional classes.

New Students

Click Login and create an account for yourself. If you are registering a child or someone else, click Add to Order, fill out the form with your registrants’s information under “Add New Registrant,” and click “Create Registrant.” Select the person you wish to register before checking out or adding additional classes.

Please Note: The Registration Portal shows all classes available currently at AAC, including Adult classes. If you do not see a description for a class on this webpage, it is most likely an  ADULT CLASS or a SUMMER CAMP.
