Volunteers are vital to Abington Art Center as we seek to serve a growing community. A variety of volunteer and internship positions are available and we would be thrilled to have your support. Hours and days are flexible.
Student Volunteer Opportunities
Each year our Summer Art Workshop camps are a success thanks to the hard work of teen volunteers from the community. Camp volunteers assist our instructors in the classroom by setting up materials, helping students complete projects, clean-up and monitoring lunch.
Summer volunteer positions for grades 9-12 are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, and all applications are due by May 1st. If you have any questions, please contact Marge Horner, Director of Arts Programs at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Help us keep those gallery doors open during our business hours Tuesday – Thursday and Saturday morning! We’re looking for dependable and friendly volunteers to sit by the galleries, greet people as they enter on the manor side, and keep watch over the gallery spaces.
Volunteer once a month or more for community programs such as Coffee Break. Training will be provided. Volunteers will work independently and should be friendly and dependable.
Work with the Art Center staff to support special events such as our summer concert series and occasional fundraising events. Responsibilities might include greeting visitors, set-up and teardown, and working in the concession booth. Must be hard working, friendly and dependable. Teens and adults are welcome.
