I'm Gabrielle, a seventeen year old junior at high school. My hobbies include reading, editing my school newspaper, sewing, painting, cooking, and watching too much TV! This past year, I worked as an apprentice at a fantastic museum, where I learned about the process of designing and printing textiles and got the chance to create my own fabric. I love art because of its ability to create conversation and even alter moods. I like trying my hand at do-it-yourself projects and learning about the processes behind creating art. Since my mom exposed me to the work of Elsa Schiaparelli as a little girl, I've been interested in fashion of a reflection of society and the utilitarian purposes of clothing. I hope to pursue a career in writing, fashion design, or film.
